Dogdrop is opening its first Denver location in the centrally-located and dynamic 9th & Colorado shopping area in early 2023 and seeking a ROCK STAR manager to oversee that location and all its operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of bringing a new brand to Denver and building it up from the ground level. As a manager, your focus day-to-day will be on overseeing all operations to create an incredible experience for Dogdrop dogs, dog parents, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Delivering on sales and revenue goals
Leading promotional efforts, including partnerships and local events, to grow awareness of Dogdrop and generate a strong leads pipeline
Driving sales of memberships
Ensuring frequent usage of Dogdrop by members
Driving high member retention & engagement
Delivering an incredible customer service experience to dog parentsM
Making dogs and their parents feel loved and cared for
Creating a positive & supportive experience for members in all interactions
Managing day-to-day operations of the daycare
Ensuring all operations are running smoothly
Creating and managing staff schedule
Ensuring the facility remains clean, pleasant and in working order at all times
Enforcing all brand policies and procedures and ensuring a high standard of quality across all operations
Overseeing a staff of 8-10 employees
Manage all staff including front desk (Member Care Specialists) and dog “droperators”
Ongoing training & development of staff, with a keen focus on motivating, retaining and challenging employees
Hold regular check-ins with staff
Assist owner with hiring and onboarding new staff
Partnership with owner
Weekly update meetings with owner
Frequent, honest and open communication with owner

About You

  • You are an animal loving, organized, hard-working, driven leader with experience managing people. You think like an owner, but respect that you’re enabling someone else’s vision.
  • You are customer service oriented (min 1 year of experience in a service oriented role)
  • You are an effective communicator (both written and verbal)
  • You are able to create a positive work environment, where your staff feel supported, trusted, valued and enabled to succeed in their roles (min 1 year of experience managing people is ideal)
  • You are a team player
  • You are comfortable using Word, Excel, Power Point and various point-of-sale and other tech systems
  • You’re as excited as we are about offering dogs the best possible care
