Senior Clinical Trial Specialist

AOA Dx is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a physician-facing Senior Clinical Trial Specialist. This role is integral to the success of our clinical studies, with a primary focus on increasing recruitment, enhancing principal investigator (PI) engagement, coordinator engagement, on-site training, and fostering enthusiasm about the OVERT clinical study. This position requires extensive travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Physician Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with principal investigators (PIs) at clinical study sites. Collaborate with PIs to ensure their understanding of trial protocols and their active involvement in patient recruitment and follow-up. Provide ongoing support and assistance to PIs in addressing trial-related queries and challenges
  • Coordinator Engagement: Train and support clinical trial coordinators at participating sites to ensure efficient trial execution. Foster a collaborative and communicative environment to enhance coordinator engagement and resolve any operational issues promptly
  • On-Site Training: Conduct on-site training sessions for healthcare professionals, including PIs, coordinators, and clinical staff. Ensure that all team members understand and adhere to the trial protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to increase the number of eligible patients enrolled in the trials. Collaborate with site personnel to identify potential patient candidates and implement recruitment initiatives
  • Site Excitement: Cultivate enthusiasm and motivation among trial sites for the OVERT Trial. Organize events, workshops, and presentations to showcase the significance of the trials and the positive impact they can have on patient outcomes
  • Customer-Facing Role: Serve as a primary point of contact for site personnel, fostering a "customer-facing" approach to provide timely and effective support. Address any concerns or issues promptly to maintain positive relationships
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train junior employees within the clinical trial team. Share best practices, provide guidance, and ensure the team is equipped to excel in their roles

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent combination of education and work experience in science related field
  • 3-5 years Clinical Operations or clinical research-related experience is preferred
  • Proven experience in clinical trial management and engagement with healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) and work independently
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for trial management
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
